The Power Of Amen

Jonathan Cahnby Jonathan Chn

‘Amen,’ in Hebrew means ‘so be it’ or ‘yes,’ ‘I agree.’ Amen is one of the most universal words on our planet. And it’s one of the most important. For the word amen sums up everything we need to be saved, to live victoriously, and to fulfill your calling. What is faith? Faith is to say ‘amen’ to God. It is to say ‘yes’ to God, ‘yes’ to His promises, ‘yes’ to His Word, ‘yes’ to His love; ‘yes’ to His will, ‘yes’ to His purposes, and ‘yes’ to the calling on your life. It is to say ‘I agree’ with Your Word, your will – and it will be so. You can only be saved by giving your ‘amen’ to God. But it doesn’t stop there. You still have an ‘amen’ to give. If you want to grow, if you want to become strong in God, then strengthen your ‘amen.’ Give God a powerful ‘amen,’ with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. And you will see the power of God move in your life. For with God’s great promises and your great ‘amen,’ nothing shall be impossible for you. Amen? Amen!!!

Today’s Mission – Take one promise or word from the Word of God and give it your most powerful ‘Amen,’ with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

My Reptile Phase

Jonathan Cahnby Jonathan Cahn

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!  Matthew 7:11

Messiah said “If your son asks for a fish you won’t give him a snake, will you?” But what if he asks for a snake? When I was 8 years old, I went through a reptile phase and asked my parents for an iguana. They bought me a goldfish. Reptiles don’t go over big in Jewish homes; they’re not kosher.

As God’s children, we might be asking for serpents without realizing it, asking for what’s harmful, poisonous or something that’s wrong for us, because we think we need it. Maybe you’ve asked for a marriage, a job or position that would be the worst thing in the world and would destroy you. God has to say no because He’s your Father. When God says no, it’s a gift. It’s to keep you from harm. Be blessed when God says no; it’s as much a gift as when He says yes. Because if God doesn’t give you what you want, He’ll give you what He wants, and you can be sure that what He wants is a whole lot better than what you wanted, as a fish is to a snake.

Today’s Mission – Take time today to give God thanks for all the no’s He’s given you and for protecting you from the wrong path.
