Deserts And Showers

Jonathan Cahnby Jonathan Cahn

Isaiah 55:10 says, “as the rain comes down… from heaven.” The flow of life comes from heaven to earth. The earth can appear green for a while, but without the blessing of rain from heaven, it will ultimately end up barren. In the same way, it may seem like we can go without God in our lives, and we appear okay. Things might seem okay for a while, but in the end, our life will be dry and dead. Life without prayer and communion with God is like the earth without rain. Without God’s blessing from heaven, your earthly life is going to dry up. It doesn’t matter what you have: money, earthly love, sexuality, and even marriage without God, it all dries up, anything without God dries up. Even your ministry without God will become dry. So seek the Lord, turn your heart, your mind, and your strength back to heaven. Receive the waters of the Spirit. He will make your life and your walk come alive again as never before, because without prayer, without Him, it’s like earth without heaven.

Today’s Mission
Today, take time in God’s presence and ask Him to shower you with His life. Soak up the waters of the Spirit into your heart.

Focusing On The Line

Jonathan Cahnby Jonathan Cahn

Imagine you were in desperate need of a million dollars. Now imagine, your father is a billionaire. What would be the wisest way to spend your energy? Should you spend your time and efforts trying to work your way out of it? Would you spend your energy trying to earn a million dollars? Or would you spend your time and energy calling or reaching out to your dad and telling him of your need? It would be wisest to go with the second option. So it is with us and the Lord. We all deal with problems, wants, needs, and issues. And most people spend most of their energy trying to figure out ways to solve their problems or to get what they want. But if you’re a believer, your Father is more than a billionaire. So instead of putting all that energy in striving to answer your need, put that energy into growing a better prayer life, a stronger devotional life, and a clearer communion with God. For the blessings that come through prayer are worth billions, and they’re waiting for you… as soon as you get on the line.

Today’s Mission

Today, put your energy into growing a better prayer life, a stronger devotional life, and a clearer communion with God. Get on the line with your Father.
